Jonathan Davis Live at The Rave/Eagles Club- Photo Review- 5/4/18

The Rave/Eagles Club is such an infamous music venue in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It just so happens to be a personal favorite of Jonathan Davis, and the Rave/Eagles Club welcomed him back yet again with joy. Jonathan has played The Rave a whopping 18 times now! 16 with Korn, and twice solo. It is always a pleasure having his beautiful soul in the building!

Supporting Jonathan Davis on this Friday night was 3 piece band from Chicago, Dead Original. This three piece band is made up of some special people. Vocalist/guitarist Paul Wandtke is the former drummer of Trivium, bassist Dina Simone is a very talented female bass player, and drummer Rob Lerner did his job in being the backbone of the band. Dead Original played new tunes that will be featured on their album to be released in July like ”Fade To Light” and more. So stay tuned for more new Dead Original coming your way!

Now for the reason we are all here. The one and only talented Jonathan Davis! There are no words to describe how wonderful this man is inside and out. The amount of passion he carries on stage, the talent, and the personality. Jonathan opened up his massive 15 song set with his song “Underneath My Skin” off his album “Black Labyrinth” which is so brand new it hasn’t even been released in full yet. Jonathan performed many songs off his album that will be released on May 25th, just 18 short more days! Many fans were stoked to hear songs like “Everyone”, “What You Believe”, “Walk On By” and more for the first time Live. Jonathan also performed some old tracks off his 2007 album “Alone I Play” and even a Neil Diamond cover of “Love On The Rocks.” Now of course Jonathan Davis didn’t let the fans down and played his first single from the new and upcoming album “What It Is” as part of his encore.

Now of course Jonathan Davis is the real reason why people gather into the venues each night, but Jonathan also has a killer band playing behind him each night! From a violinist, double bass player, keyboards, guitar and a familiar face on drums. Korn drummer Ray Luzier is assisting Jonathan on his solo tour and beating the drums each night.

Overall Jonathan Davis is a phenomenal musician that you need to see live. Whether it’s with Korn, or supporting him on his solo tour. This guy seriously has it all and makes it an absolute honor to see him perform on a stage. Jonathan makes the stage his own and you instantly feel at home watching him perform and do what he was born to do on stage. Do yourself a favor and catch Jonathan live on the few remaining dates of his solo tour. You definitely won’t regret it, and it’s not every day you get to see a musician like him up on stage!
