From Ashes To New-Graham Fielder-10

From Ashes to New’s sophomore album, The Future, is out now via Better Noise Records. Featuring lead single “Crazy,” an anthem for the people feeling caught in the middle of a situation and confused by it all, The Future showcases the Lancaster, PA-based band’s revamped lineup and sound. Consisting of founding front man/rapper/programmer Matt Brandyberry, guitarist Lance Dowdle, new vocalist Danny Case, and drummer Mat Madiro, From Ashes To New’s chemistry is undeniable on stage and on the new album, which sees the band expanding their musical palette and taking their blend of rock, hip/hop, pop, and metal to new heights. The album was written at front-man Matt Brandyberry’s home studio and recorded at Atrium Audio with producers Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland(August Burns Red), Nick “Raz” Furlong and Colin Brittain (Papa RoachBlink-182). mixed by Josh Wilbur (KornLamb Of God).

Read what our very own Abstract Samm thought of the new tracks as she got to take the album out for a ‘test drive’ a few days early!

“Have you ever heard a song and decided to look up the band only to find out that they only had that one good song? Well, From Ashes to New is definitely not one of those bands. A few days ago, I gave their new video “Crazy” a watch and fell in love with this group all over again. After vibing hard with the entire feel of that song and the video, I was on edge waiting to hear the rest of their new album “The Future” with high expectations. Needless to say, I was not left disappointed. After listening to the entire tracklist (at least three times in just one sitting) I have an entirely new respect for these guys. With lyrics that feel like they came straight out of my own mind, I was able to find comfort in this album. From the struggle of trying to find success to love and hate as it pertains to everyone, they get deep with each song. My personal favorite has to be track 3, My Name. If you’ve ever found yourself struggling to find your footing in life, this is the song for you. Blatantly honest in the most inspiring way, “The Future” is exactly the set of songs that you didn’t know you needed.” ~Abstract Samm
